One thing that sets us apart is our transparency. We have an open-door policy for anyone who wants to learn about farming this way. That’s right, you can stop by anytime to see what’s going on. We don’t have any “no trespassing” signs. I still work an off-the-farm job, so if you come by during the week, you are on your own. Come by on Saturday afternoons and I’ll show around (see also Tour info). We believe farming this way is the future, so we want people to learn all they can about it. We are not experts in anything, but we have learned and done a lot, and we love to share that with others. We use a grass-based farming model where everything moves and the infrastructure is portable. This model is scalable, so that means you can use it to raise enough food for your family or for the entire community. We also believe farming this way creates the healthiest environment possible for the animals, and it embraces their natural proclivities. Cows eat grass and move to fresh paddocks regularly. Chickens scratch through cow pies, get fresh air and sunshine, and pigs dig and forage in the woods. We don’t fight God’s design in nature, we embrace it. As a result, we produce nutrient-dense, top-quality, great tasting beef, chicken, eggs and pork! Don’t believe me, just try it.
We truly believe that “Everyone should farm something.” Come see us to learn how you can get started.
Your farmer,
Jason Pope
